Daniel grew up along the blue ridges and rolling hills of Charlottesville before committing himself to architecture amidst the soybean- and corn-ladened fields of the Midwest. Intermittently working at firms in New York, Philadelphia, and Chicago, he completed his undergraduate education at Cincinnati and graduate studies at Michigan, immersed in the craft of making and permanently compelled to uncover an architecture that accomplishes more.
Most recently working in DC while obtaining his license to practice, he now seeks refuge in Austin from the cold of winter—despite years spent jumping between the urban centers of the Northeast and Midwest, he is most at home getting lost on foot among deserts, mountains, and streams. Daniel joined Drophouse in July 2020 and is the first employee to be hired without anyone seeing the bottom two-thirds of his face.
